“Above all else, I hate to lose.”
From 1939 to 1941, Jackie Robinson was a four-sport star with the UCLA Bruins, playing football, baseball, basketball and track. Know what’s crazy? In his first-ever baseball game in Westwood, he had four hits and four stolen bases. He broke records in track and field and set the record for most yards per carry in football, averaging 12.2 yards per carry. On the hardwood, he blazed up and down the basketball court, averaging a dozen points a game.
With over 120 national champions in UCLA history across sports, the 5-foot-11 Robinson didn’t just stand out. He became the tradition.
Throwing back to the great Jackie Robinson’s time at UCLA. Rep the legend!
